Shampoo vs Conditioner

Oh really fool?
We all know the moniker from Adam Sandler's classic Billy Madison right? If you don't, here is a quick synopsis...
Billy (Sandler) is in the bath tub and has a bottle of shampoo in one hand and conditioner in the other. The following diatribe takes place...
Billy (speaking on behalf of shampoo) - Shampoo is better! I go on first and clean the hair!
Billy (speaking on behalf of conditioner) - Conditioner is better! I go on second and make the hair silky and smooth!
Billy (speaking on behalf of shampoo once again) - Oh really fool?
Billy then proceeds to have the two bottles mock fight whereupon they are both dropped into the tub.
So what really is better? Shampoo or conditioner? I decided to take a simple e-mail poll at work and find out. I think I also learned a little bit about myself through the poll.
Here are the responses I received....
Daniela J. - Shampoo. My shampoo always makes my hair smell better than my conditioner does, and I like the way my hair smells. I could also go weeks without my conditioner, but not without my shampoo, my hair would get nasty and greasy.
Alan H. - You're a freak. Conditioner...for the silky reason.
David S. - Shampoo. Seriously Russ, can I give you some work to do?
Beth N. - Conditioner! It cleans and it shines!
Jackie H. - Shampoo...you need to clean your hair before you add oily products to detangle it!!!!
Brendan M. - After much deliberation, I think shampoo is better... basically because you can live without conditioner, but not without shampoo... conditioner needs shampoo... shampoo stands on its own and doesn't need no conditioner.
Kim T. - Shampoo. Russ, stop bothering me I'm busy!
Max F. - I use 2 in 1...that's better...less time consuming.
Liz L. - I have an office Russ, with windows! I don't have time for this crap!
David E. - Shampoo because little kids think it sounds funny. (to which I responded, "Dave you gave the worst answer and are a total loser!")
The VERDICT - Shampoo is better (and I apparently don't have enough work on my hands)
