Fill 'Er Up (American Panda)
Well it appears that Hurrican Katrina's nastier little bitch cousin is going to slam into eastern Texas this weekend. This may be good for those that have a dislike for eastern Texas, but this could also mean that we, in the good old US of A, may be paying close to 5 clams for a gallon of gas. Right now the cost of gas has "dwindled" from close to $3.50 a gallon down to around $3 a gallon. In the summer of 1998 I was paying 89 cents for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania, this should give you an idea of how much gas has risen in cost over the Bush years.
Anyways, to get an idea as to what this will mean for those of us that drive a car (i.e. every small pox blanket trading American) let us look at what it would cost to "fill 'er up in several different vehicles...
Lincoln Navigator ($140)
Hummer ($160)
Toyota Tacoma ($65) - that is what I drive
Honda Civic ($60) - that is what American Panda's Girlfriend drives
VW Beetle ($59.50)
Mini Cooper - ($62.50)
Fleetwood RV - ($190)
Harley-Davidson Fatboy - ($25)
Vespa Scooter - ($10.50)
Arctic Cat Snowmobile - ($21.50)
