What did you do for Christmas?

Turkey? Presents? Booze? Dr Who on BBC 1 at 7pm? I'm sure there are others, but let's face it those were the four important points on my list. So what did I get instead?

Me, I went for the less orthodox route of the Vinterkräksjuka, the dreaded Winter Vomiting disease. As everything2.com puts it:

"A highly contagious non-bacterial gastroenteritis, caused by calcivirus, a relatively recently discovered virus. The symptoms appear about 1-2 days after having been infected, as violent vomiting and diarrhea. The victim "first thinks he is going to die, then wishes he were dead, and then suddenly gets well", as one sufferer has put it. " (Artlcle here)

So I've been lain out and haven't had a drop of booze since I landed back in the UK. Not even to try out the new licensing laws. However I am happy to say that I excelled myself with the puking. My girlfriend got in on the act first, catching it from her niece that we visited the family home of in Malmö before hoping over to Copenhagen and heading off to Birmingham. The initial effects for me started to kick in halfway though midnight mass, but they got managed to be confused with a bad low blood sugar (I am an insulin dependent diabetic). But it all start at 4am Christmas morning. THERE SHOULD BE NO EXCUSE FOR THROWING IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN BOOZING. That just has to be the law from now in. Anything else is clearly unfair. I should be able to reclaim compensation from someone, probably God on the day of my eternal damnation.

So it has been a slow start to Christmas for Mr M Panda this year.
Puking: several
M-Audio thing so I can record my guitar work on my Mac: 1
DVD box set offering eight hours of cricket action as England games the Ashes: 1
Alcoholic drinks consumed, all free, since I landed in this country: none.

Work must be done. I shall report.
